When I began vision therapy I was very discouraged and self-conscious about how this condition affected day to day activities such as driving and watching TV comfortably. Vision Therapy helped me understand my condition and the fun (and sometimes easy) activities greatly improved my vision and brought awareness to how my eyes are working. I have seen improvements with my eyes and focus (or teaming), and I’ve also noticed improvements with comprehension and peripheral vision. I am no longer self-conscious and have been more open to sharing my experience with others. I’ve learned this is a condition that can be improved and managed, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
