New Patients interested in Remote Vision Therapy
Are you stuck at home with vision symptoms such as eyestrain, headaches,
dizziness, or other changes in your vision?
Are you using your computer more than usual, and feeling like your eyes cannot handle the demands?
Is your child using the computer more than ever, and struggling with vision
symptoms (rubbing eyes, getting too close to the screen, poor attention, or other symptoms)?
If you answered yes to any of the above, we may be able to start you on a remote vision therapy program to get a head start on vision therapy. While each patient program is different, the initial few sessions are often quite similar as we work on the basic visual skills first.

Patients that are good candidates for Remote Vision Therapy Evaluation:
- School age children or adults who have vision symptoms, but do not have an eye turn or lazy eye (strabismus or amblyopia)
- Patients with post-concussion syndrome who are struggling with vision symptoms
- Patients with dizziness that is triggered by seeing motion (ex. busy environments, driving in a car, reading, etc)
Patients should be able to come into the Denver Vision Therapy Office sometime in the next couple of months to complete the in-office portion of their Vision Therapy evaluation. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.
We will be charging less than HALF of our normal fee for the initial Remote Vision Therapy Evaluation, which is 90 minutes in a video conference with Dr. Dudley. This will be enough time to go through the following tests:
- Case history and review of systems
- Visual acuity at distance and near
- Dynamic visual acuity
- Oculomotor assessment (tracking)
- Balance and visual midline testing
- DEM Eye Movement Test
- Vestibular Ocular Reflex testing
- Visual Perceptual testing
The cost of the initial Remote Vision Therapy Evaluation visit is $200, due prior to the appointment. You must have had a comprehensive eye exam by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist in the last 6 months to be eligible for this type of visit!
The only items you will need to have ready are a few printed charts which will be emailed to you (using them on your computer is fine if you do not have a printer), a ruler (12”), a pen, and of course a working webcam and microphone. We use Doxy.me for our remote sessions, and the link will be sent to you when you sign up.
After the Remote Vision Therapy Evaluation, if Dr. Dudley determines that you are a good candidate for Remote Vision Therapy, you will be matched with a vision therapist and the Remote Vision Therapy program will be started (go here for more information on Remote Vision Therapy).
Once we are able to see patients in-office again, you will have first priority to come in to see Dr. Dudley in person and do the in-office part of your Vision Therapy Evaluation. The second half of the cost of the evaluation is due at that time. You will need to complete this evaluation to continue your vision therapy program, as the additional information will be essential to program the middle and end of your vision therapy program.
If you are interested in scheduling a Remote Vision Therapy Evaluation, please contact our office by emailing [email protected], and please include your name, a short summary of your vision issues, and a phone number where you can be reached. One of our staff will reach out to you within 24 hours.
We look forward to working with you, and helping you through this new and challenging time!
